Volunteer - Change a Life

”Everybody can be great ... because anybody can serve.”

- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Our volunteers create a supportive environment for our students and witness the transforming power of education firsthand, as they impart their own knowledge and experience to adult students who need a little extra help.

Our volunteers serve in several capacities:

  • Tutors who help adult students in basic reading and writing, Math, English Language, and GED preparation in both English and Spanish. Volunteer tutors are paird one-on-one and we work with both the tutor and the students’ schedules to find the right fit.

  • Classroom assistants for GED and English Language instruction

  • Helping with with one of our special events

  • Hosting a book drive for our Bill’s Bookshelf program
