Santana Wood

Santana joined the Board of Directors in July 2022. She is the managing editor at the Tyler Morning Telegraph and ETX View Magazine of M. Roberts Media, where she manages the newsroom, writes and edits stories, and fulfills the company's vision of sustaining local journalism and informing the community through essential reporting. She moved to East Texas in late 2020 from her home state of Alabama, where she graduated from Troy University and most recently managed a group of local newspapers in Alexander City. She loves Jesus and listens to His calling for her life, which partly includes her role as a journalist, telling untold stories and being a voice for those without a platform. She's passionate about this organization's mission and is inspired by the life-changing stories she's witnessed during her time on the board. When she's not working, she loves to go thrifting or spend time at home with her family and fur babies. She loves close-knit communities like those in East Texas and looks forward to finding more ways to serve her neighbors.
